Having trouble navigating your identity in a world that demands conformity?

You’ve come to the right place. Existing authentically as yourself is a radical act of self-
affirmation against pressures to conform. As a therapist, I am deeply committed to helping my
clients navigate the complexities of their identities and live truthfully.

I am a Limited Licensed MSW. I graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from
Michigan State University in 2024, following my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the
same institution. My practice focuses extensively on LGBTQ+ individuals, youth, and
adolescents, with particular experience working with college students and young adults
transitioning into adulthood. Though these are the populations I have the most experience
working with, I am open to working with anyone at any stage of their healing journey.

My areas of specialization include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused
Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based and client-
centered techniques. I work with clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, identity, self
esteem, sexuality/gender, interpersonal relationship dynamics, sexism/misogyny, colorism,
school and work stress, cultural trauma/marginalization, and childhood trauma. As an openly
queer therapist, I bring a personal understanding of these challenges and strive to create a space
where clients can explore their identities freely.

I believe that individuals are the experts of their own lives and that therapy must be tailored to fit
each client’s unique needs. Sessions with me include letting clients take the direction on how our
sessions will go, and providing support that aligns with where clients are at in their journey.

Therapy is a collaborative experience, and I encourage collaboration whenever possible.
Honest and open communication is the key to a successful therapeutic relationship. As a
clinician and client myself, I understand that therapy can be a very vulnerable and intimidating
place for many people. In my practice, I approach clients with a direct and casual conversation
style in order to alleviate feelings of intimidation and build rapport. My goal is to ensure that my
clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. I show up as
authentically myself and I encourage radical self-expression so that my clients may create a life
that aligns with their true selves.

In my practice, I strive to be a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive therapist. I am a strong
advocate for self-liberation, LGBTQ+ rights, safety for Black and Brown people, & racial and
social justice.

In my free time, I practice self care by spending time with my loved ones, cooking, attending
concerts, and watching horror movies.
