Position Overview

We are currently seeking Clinical Interns pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy. This part-time internship requires a minimum of 16 hours per week, including two evening shifts (required). The Clinical Intern will provide therapeutic services to their preferred population (children, adolescents, and/or adults) under the supervision of our experienced clinical leadership team.

This role offers a hands-on learning experience in a supportive and collaborative environment, helping interns gain essential skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. This is a paid internship at a rate of $20.00 per hour.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.
  • Build rapport and establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Diagnose and treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and other mental health conditions under supervision.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director, CEO, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care.
  • Refer clients to specialists or community resources when necessary.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in weekly supervision meetings and monthly clinical team meetings for case consultation and professional development.
  • Provide trainings and workshops as needed.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards in counseling, ensuring culturally competent and trauma-informed care.

Administrative Duties

  • Complete all documentation within 24 hours of client sessions.
  • Conduct and submit quarterly assessments for assigned clients.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and professional ethics in all interactions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by clinical leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • Must be available for at least 16 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with two required evening shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passionate about mental health, wellness, and helping others thrive.
  • Experience or interest in working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and/or couples.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid or in-person setting.

Compensation

💰 $20.00 per hour
